South Asian cuisine has a unique flavor all its own. There are many traditional recipes that South Asians love to eat – or drink – regularly. South Asians love their sweets and their spices.
Here are a few recipes you can make from home (just make sure you have an adult to help you).
Banana Fritters

Try this yummy dessert from South Asia.
Since much of South Asia is tropical, bananas grow in abundance!
South Asians have invented many delicious ways to add them to their foods.
This recipe makes 8 small servings.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons flour
2/3 cup milk
3 bananas
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions:
Crack eggs into large bowl.
Whisk until whites and yolks are well blended.
Add sugar, flour and milk.
Stir until blended.
Peel and slice bananas.
Stir them into egg mixture.
Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat.
Slowly pour banana mixture into pan.
Fry for 5 minutes.
Turn fritter over and fry for an additional 5 minutes.
Slide fritter onto plate and cut into slices.
Serve warm.
