Raj is considered by his friends to be the most responsible member of the caravan. He always thinks carefully about his words and actions and tries to do the right thing. He is also very brave and compassionate.\
Raj comes from the city of Kathmandu, which is the capital of the South Asian country Nepal. Before Raj and his family asked Jesus into their hearts and became Christians, they were Hindus like most people in Nepal.
They worshipped lots of gods, but didn’t know about the One true God who sent His son Jesus to die for our sins.
One day, one of Raj’s neighbors invited his family to attend House Church. House Church is a small group of people who meet in someone’s home to worship and learn more about God.
When Raj and his family went to House Church, they learned all about Jesus and how much He loved them. They learned that the only way that they could be forgiven of their sins and go to heaven is to accept Jesus.
After Raj and his family accepted Jesus, they began to attend House Church every week. Raj realized that it wasn’t right to know about how Jesus saved him and not tell any one else about how wonderful Jesus is.
He began to tell everyone he could about Jesus and how He could save them from their sins, too.
Nepal
Nepal is a country in South Asia, bordered by China to the north and India to the south, east and west. More than 80% of Nepalese follow Hinduism, which is a higher percentage of Hindus than India, making Nepal the world’s most Hindu nation.
The country boasts eight of the fifteen highest mountains in the world.
Tiger
The Royal Bengal tiger is found in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar. It is the most common tiger and lives in grasslands, subtropical and tropical rainforests, scrub forests, wet and dry forests and swampy mangroves. Its fur is orange-brown with black stripes, although there are also white tigers.
Hindus
Hindus believe in millions of gods that they have to worship to protect them. They also worship these gods to build good karma. Karma is a very important concept in Hinduism. It is like a score being kept of every good or bad thing a person does.
Hindus don’t believe that life is over when a person dies.
