Join us in falling on our knees.

Prayer is the first and most important contribution you can make to impact Maldives. Please take some time and pray for the Maldives today!

For Believers:

> Ninety-nine percent of the people of the Maldive Islands are Muslim. The few followers of Christ face persecution and isolation as a church. Ask God to encourage Maldivian believers today, showing them how they can “give glory to the Lord and proclaim His praise in the islands.”  (Isaiah 42:12 NIV)

> "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." (Mark 5:19 NIV) Christians in the Maldive Islands may never have a church building where they can go for worship. So where will they gather? Where can Muslims go to seek the Lord and learn about His ways? Ask the Lord to reveal places for small groups of seekers and believers to meet together for worship and Bible study.

> Pray that Maldivian Christians, though they be a minority in their country, would not let anyone look down on them because they are young, old, or Christian, but set an example for the believers and non-believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (See 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV)

For the Lost:

> God does not leave Himself without a witness among the peoples of the earth. The Maldive Islands (99% Muslim) do not allow missionaries to live in their country. Ask God to show Maldivians His glory through His chosen methods.

> "And all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:3b NIV) God promised Abraham that the blessings he received would be extended to all peoples on earth. The Maldive Islands seem a small part of earth's total land mass, but they are part of the earth. Therefore, we know God wants to bless the people who live there.  If one member of each extended family were to hear the Gospel and follow Christ, the good news could spread quickly along family lines. Ask God to make His presence known to many Maldivian families. Pray that whole families would come to faith and that a Gospel witness would be available on each island.
