SA101 Full Summer
SA101 is a program designed as a 7 week summer experience for college, seminary and medical students that will equip and encourage them in four objectives:
- Answer God’s call
- Be a part of a CPM strategy
- Develop toward career service
- Make a difference in you, your church and your world
The experience begins with pre-arrival materials sent to you to make your transition to South Asia smoother. It is followed by an orientation in South Asia to cultures, tools and strategies for effective ministry. Then teams are dispersed throughout the region for 6 ½ weeks of labor in the fields. Before returning home, all teams debrief together and celebrate over what God has done through willing hearts and hands for a summer.
From its conception, SA101 has been focused on investing in future harvesters in God’s field by utilizing them in the present harvest workforce. Students are the exciting and rejuvenating spirit that can fan the spark of truth into a flame burning throughout a village, city or region. It is not a vacation option, but rather a training ground.
SA101 Short Trips
Not every student is able to devote 7 weeks of the summer to South Asia. These Short Trips are an option for those able to give one to three weeks for a focused, strategic and purposeful project. Project dates are determined by the requesting personnel. The orientation and debriefing are done by the local field workers.
Those who might be interested in a particular location and time frame can submit a request for information and investigate their options. Contact us at StudentInfo@WigTake.org
SA101 Christmas Projects
In the two weeks that span the Christmas holiday, a clear and definite impact can be made on South Asia. Between December 18th and 31st students will embark on South Asian soil with the focused intention of using the Christmas story to draw together individuals, share with them the Gospel, and open doors for strategic relationships. Students who are willing to forego the figgy pudding for a little chai and share the Gospel along with it can have a Christmas vacation from studies that could change all of eternity for individuals across the region.
Yes, giving your Christmas holiday as an offering of service is a sacrifice.
Yes, it is hard for some families to understand why their child would go.
Yes, it is worth it to see the first glimmer of hope in the eyes of the people in
You can tell them!
