The foundation to any sustained Church Planting Movement is the authority of God’s Word in the lives of believers in that movement. The South Asia region of the IMB focuses on initiating Church Planting Movements among all the people groups of South Asia. Each of these people groups has its own language, culture and communication preferences. They must have access to God’s Word in their own language that speaks to their own culture in a format that they understand in order for these movements to become self-sustaining, self-feeding and self-correcting.

As a Scripture Resource Specialist, you will be intimately involved in the production of Scripture resources. Depending upon the needs of the people group, you may be facilitating a team of mother-tongue translators who are translating the Word of God in their own language or you may be managing a project that will develop a Scripture product for a particular people group (i.e. Jesus Film, recorded Bible stories, radio programs, television programs, etc…).

As a Use Strategist you will work with IMB strategy coordinators and other Great Commission Partners to develop and implement a strategy for using Scripture among a particular people group in a way that they can understand. You will help to make God’s Word alive and relevant for the lost of South Asia as well as for the new believers in budding Church Planting Movements across the region.
