Sri Lanka, a small exotic island off the coast of India, is bursting with color and beauty. A British crown colony for more than a century, Sri Lanka gained it’s independence in 1948. Its vastness is displayed though the lush, green rolling hills to its fields of tea plantations. Extraordinary animals such as elephants and leopards are not uncommon. The people of Sri Lanka are warm and welcoming; the food delicious; and the landscape striking.
