xpand a Team on theEdge

Expand a Team on theEdge service track that allows Edgers to bring their gifts and talents to an existing team and expand their capacity to engage an Unreached People Group. These Edgers fulfill a specific role in a Strategy Coordinator’s CPM Plan leading to a CPM among the team’s focus people group. Expanders work alongside national partners, other Great Commission Christians and IMB personnel.

A Story from

My personal vision as I serve on theEdge:

My life will reflect the beauty of my Lord, and I will work to bring people to hear His name, to desire His touch, to repent of their sins, to welcome His grace, to grow in His likeness, and to reach out to the world.


When I was called to serve the Lord I had three things in mind: I wanted to work where there were Unreached People Groups, I wanted to work where I could learn what a missionary community was like, and I wanted to work alongside single people who were going through the same season of life that I was. theEdge sounded perfect! I originally joined the Explorer track, but during orientation was asked to switch to the Expand a Team track. The Lord gave me a peace about joining a team and has continually challenged me and grown me through working alongside my teammates.

My partner and I are focusing on the women of our city. We are currently forming relationships with university girls and sharing the Good News with them as we have opportunities. We also are working to help promote harmony and unity in the body of believers here in town. There are many ministries that, if united in heart and spirit, have great potential to reach the 1.5 million people in our city with the Gospel.

The Lord isn’t finished with me yet! I have already seen Him work in me in many amazing ways. When I get out of His way, He moves in power and touches people’s lives. We have shared the Gospel with over 500 people in the past year and have seen many people ask the Lord into their hearts. We have worked with nine volunteer teams in the past year to mobilize prayer support and to help them see their own gifts and callings.

In my own personal walk, I have been constantly reassured of His presence, His healing power, His saving grace, and His promise to mold me and make me into someone stronger and more like Him each day. Being a part of theEdge (formerly Team TAJ) has taught me how to serve strangers - how to have compassion on them. theEdge has helped me to be refined - to weed out the hard, calloused, dark places of ‘me’ and let the light of Jesus consume and shine through me.

If you are ready to be challenged, if you are willing to work hard, and if you are not afraid to be refined by fire… theEdge has the potential to change your life and the lives of countless people you will encounter. I thank and praise Him daily for calling me out to be a part of this team.
